Camera Gimbals — DJI RS Series

The RS series stabilises mirrorless and DSLR bodies. Every current Canon EOS R body pairs cleanly with the RS 4 or RS 4 Pro. The RS 3 Mini suits lighter setups like the R8 or R50 V.

Common Questions

The DJI RS 4 handles both bodies comfortably at under 3 kg payload — pair it with any RF prime or the RF 24–105 STM and you are well within limits. The RF 24–70 F2.8L also sits comfortably on the RS 4 (about 1.6kg with an R6 Mark III); step up to the RS 4 Pro for cinema lenses or a heavily rigged setup.

Yes — every lens change requires rebalancing. The RS 4 and RS 4 Pro have a quick-release axis locking system that makes this faster than older models, but you cannot skip it. We can show you the process in store.

As an authorised DJI dealer listed on the DJI website, purchases from us carry the full DJI India manufacturer warranty. We assist with claims for all gear bought from us.

Yes — the RS series is brand-agnostic and works with Sony, Nikon, Fuji and other mirrorless systems within the payload limit. The OM series works with any modern smartphone.

How to Choose the Right Gimbal

The single most important number is payload — the combined weight of your camera body, lens, and any accessories (cage, microphone, monitor). Exceed the rated payload and the gimbal motors will struggle, overheat, or produce shaky footage. Always calculate your total rig weight before choosing a gimbal.

  • Canon EOS R8 body only (461g): RS 4 (3kg payload) with significant headroom for lens combinations.
  • Canon EOS R6 Mark III + RF 24–70 F2.8L (approx 1.6kg total): RS 4 handles this comfortably.
  • Canon EOS R5 Mark II + RF 70–200 F2.8L (approx 1.8kg body + lens): Within the RS 4's 3kg rating; move to the RS 4 Pro once a cage, monitor and mic push the rig towards 3kg.
  • Canon EOS R1 or cinema rigs: RS 4 Pro only.

For mobile photography, the OM 7's built-in extension rod is practical for vlogging — it keeps the phone at a natural distance without a separate selfie stick. The magnetic clamp attaches and detaches in under a second, which matters when you are switching between gimbal and handheld shooting.
